First Baptist donated and helped deliver over 200 pairs of new
shoes to JAM kids
July 30 - August 3: Camp Hoblitzelle
Ten to fifteen-year-old kids, sponsored by Mission Brenham, attended the Salvation Army's Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian for fun and fellowship with other Christian pre-teens.
July 29th - Jobs Partnership Graduation
Eight Adults students graduated for this ten week program that combines Biblical and Business teaching to help people beyond unemployment and entry level jobs.
July 31 - August 5: Stuff the Bus
In the summer of 2007, Mission Brenham volunteers collected school supplies for underprivileged children in the area. A yellow school bus was parked at Wal-Mart and manned to receive donations each day. The goal was achieved – to fill
220 backpacks generously donated by local banks.
June 4 - July 28: JAM (Jesus and Me)
Our summer day camp for children ages 5 to 12 gives kids a fun, safe, Christian environment during their break from school. In addition to offering plenty of recreational activities, our curriculum includes math, science, reading, and Bible study, laying the groundwork to help these kids succeed in life.
June 25 - July 28: JFLY (Jobs For Life - Youth)
Our job program for junior high school students prepares kids for the working world while helping them save money for their future. For five days each week, Job Club kids perform community service, “job shadow" managers at a various area workplaces, participate in junior achievement activities, and take field trips. Students who successfully complete the program receive a stipend, part of which they can use as pocket money, while the rest goes into a savings account for college or vocational school.
June 24-June 30 KAA (Kids Across America) Christian Sports Camp
Twenty-two youth went to Branson, MO to learn about Christ, and exercise their minds and body.
